Signing ceremony for Senate Bill 65

On June 25, 2009, Governor Markell, signed into law Senate Bill 65. The DDC Chair, Diann Jones, attended this signing ceremony among several other advocates, legislators and professionals.

This bill only applies to insurers which include dental services in their benefits package. It allows parents with such private dental insurance to secure dental care for a child with a severe disability irrespective if "in-network". Finally, it promotes the availability of in-network practioners willing and able to treat such children.
